Hey Everyone!

We have made it back to Stone Town in Zanzibar after a few days at the beach! We went up to Kendwa Beach, and stayed at a quiet and quaint place. Nothing to do but the beach and sleeping, but that's all we wanted anyways! The power was cut to Zanzibar a month ago, so the only places with lights or internet are running off of generators for a few hours each day. We just finished dinner by candlelight, and wanted to update you all to let you know we are safe and somewhat more tan (or pink!) than we were a few days ago. We're actually going to swim with the dolphins tomorrow! It's something that I've always wanted to do, and Amanda found a place that does it around the South of Zanzibar for an awesome price! We're all really excited about it! We will then catch the ferry back over to Dar tomorrow evening, and then catch the early bus out of Dar back to Arusha on Saturday...we miss the kids a lot back at the orphanage though, and are looking forward to getting back to our quiet mountain life! Once we get somewhere with better internet, we will be sure to put up pictures from our trip and let you all know how the dolphins are!

Hope you all are doing well! Keep us updated if anything exciting is happening in the world! We see Obama signs everywhere in Africa!

Love,
Kasey

So glad to hear from you. I talked with your Dad at 7:30 this morning to see if he had heard from you via text, and he said you all were just fine. Glad you're relaxing a bit, and I thought you would miss the children. Have a safe trip back and look forward to seeing pictures. Like Grandma and Papa, Grandaddy and I will celebrate our 44th anniversary on June 16. Hard to imagine. I hope we have left a few good footprints as well. Love to you both.

Hi Michael and Kasey,
It sounds as though you had a great time at the beach. Make sure you take some pictures of when you're swimming with the dolphins. That sounds awesome!
The children at the orphanage look adorable. I bet they missed you when you were gone, too! Grandpa Don says to say "hello", too. We both can't wait to hear in person about all of your experiences.
Our love to you both and God bless you. Love, Gram

Hey Kasey (and Michael)! My mom sent me your blog address awhile ago, but preparing my students for SOLs and exams have prevented me from looking at it. Finally, with 1 day left of school, I have actually been able to look through it. I must say... Wow, what an opportunity of a lifetime! This experience sounds like it has been amazing. From your postings, it sounds like you see life in a new light. I can't wait to hear more and see pictures. Kelly and I will be going to Williamsburg to visit our parents (Mimi, Gene, and Amy too) and I know that Mimi will fill us in.
Love- Morgan (Matt and Stacy)
